About the Momentech Web Site

The pages in this site are based on ASP (Active Server Pages) technology.

Each ASP script is a combination of HTML to be sent to the browser, and Visual Basic Script code which is executed. This VBScript may send further HTML to the browser or perform other actions.

About the Examples On This Site

  • The 'There's A Bear In There' product catalogue and shopping cart example is based on HTML templates and ASP scripts. Each page consists of an ASP script that reads in the associated HTML template, looking for special tags. When it finds a tag it replaces it with some information from a database.

    This separation of programming logic from the HTML allows the visual appearance of the site to be changed easily without conflicting with the ASP code.
